Dr Rosy Wells

Rosy is a highly experienced Paediatric Allergy Consultant and has been leading the Allergy Service at St George's Hospital since 2018. As both a specialist clinician and a mother of children with food allergies, asthma, eczema, hay fever and eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE), she has a unique understanding of the worries and challenges families face. This personal insight shapes her calm, compassionate, and genuinely supportive approach to care.

Rosy trained extensively in General Paediatrics before specialising in Allergy. She completed the RCPCH Specialist Interest (SPIN) module in Allergy and holds both a Master's degree in Advanced Paediatrics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Allergy. Her strong clinical background ensures she provides safe, evidence-based, and thoughtful care for every child she sees.

In 2023, under Rosy's leadership, the St George's allergy team received the 'Free From Hero' award for their innovative work providing Allergy Emergency Bags and training to local schools. This recognition reflects her dedication to empowering families, improving safety, and helping children with allergies live confidently and thrive.

Rosy is passionate about Allergy education and is co-chair for the College Specialty Advisory Committee (CSAC) for Paediatric Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases (PAIID), responsible for monitoring and advising on PAIID sub-specialty training and assessment standards for Allergy across the country.
