  • We offer three convenient ways to book an appointment:

    • Online: Visit our book now page (available 24/7).

    • Telephone: Call our reception team during opening hours on 0208 153 4239 

    • Email: Email us on reception@thefamilytreatmentservice.com and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

    • In-Person: Visit our front desk during opening ours and book directly with one of our friendly receptionists..

  • We provide care on both a one-off and ongoing basis. You don’t need to transfer from your NHS GP to see us, and you can book with us whenever you need.

  • We aim to offer same-day appointments whenever possible, and you can also book future appointments at times that suit your schedule.

  • You can book appointments for 20, 40, or 60 minutes.

  • Yes, we provide private prescriptions and can review your current medications, offering advice where appropriate. We do not prescribe controlled or specialist-only drugs. If you’re unsure whether the medication you need is suitable, please contact us before booking.

  • We can provide fit-to-work letters following a consultation and clinical assessment.

  • Yes, we can provide referrals to private specialists based on your preferences and clinical needs, and we can also prepare referral letters as needed.

  • Limited metered parking is available on the road outside the clinic but the maximum stay is one hour. For longer metered parking we suggest Belvedere Avenue or Lancaster Road.

  • We are located on Church Road in Wimbledon Village. We are a 10 minute walk from Wimbledon station and town centre; alternatively buses 493, 93 & 200 all go up the hill into the village. From Southfields station you can get the 493 (towards Tooting). If you are arriving by car, limited metered parking is available on the road outside the clinic but the maximum stay is one hour. For longer metered parking we suggest Belvedere Avenue or Lancaster Road.

  • Our consultation fees range from  £110 to £275 depending on the duration of the appointment. Visit Services to find out more. We will discuss and quote any additional tests, such as blood work, during your visit.

  • While we are a "self-pay" clinic for GP consultations, many insurance providers will cover the costs of any specialist referrals or diagnostic tests (like MRI or Bloods) that we initiate and some will also cover the GP consultation fee. We recommend checking with your provider beforehand.

  • As a private service, we issue private prescriptions. You will pay the cost of the medication directly to the pharmacy.

  • Absolutely. We can provide referral letters for private specialists or, if you prefer, we can write to your NHS GP to recommend a referral through the public system.

  • We aim to be as inclusive as possible. We provide a ramp for step-free access to the building, a hearing loop for the hard of hearing, and our toilets are conveniently located on the ground floor. While we strive to accommodate all visitors, please be aware that wheelchair access at our Church Road clinic is currently limited. If you require wheelchair access, please inform us in advance. This allows us to make alternative arrangements to ensure your needs are fully met.

  • We strive for excellence, but if we miss the mark, we want to know. Please contact our Practice Manager directly via our Feedback Form [LINK?]. We take all comments seriously and aim to resolve issues swiftly and transparently.

  • Absolutely. We understand your schedule is busy. You can choose between a traditional face-to-face consultation, a telephone call, or a secure video link.

  • We are a cashless clinic. To streamline your experience and secure your slot, we require payment at the time of booking either in person at our clinic, over the phone or via our website. We accept all major credit or debit cards.

  • While we encourage online booking, if you book over the phone or in person, we require upfront payment by card before the consultation begins. We do not accept cash or cheques under any circumstances.   

  • We operate a strict 48-hour cancellation policy.

    More than 48 hours’ notice: You can reschedule or cancel your appointment for a full refund.

    Less than 48 hours’ notice: The full appointment fee will be charged, and no refund will be issued.

    Between 24 and 48 hours: We can offer a 50% refund or credit to be used towardsa future appointment.

  • The quickest way to manage your booking is through the link in your confirmation email. Alternatively, you can call our reception team. Please note that cancellation notice is calculated from the time we receive your request during business hours.
