Whether you're testing as part of routine sexual health care, following a new relationship, after unprotected sex, or simply for peace of mind, our clinic offers a private setting away from busy sexual health clinics or long waiting times, with results explained to you personally by a doctor.
What's Included in Your Appointment?
Your package begins with a consultation with one of our GPs. This gives you the opportunity to discuss any concerns, symptoms, or recent sexual contact, and ensures the tests we carry out are the right ones for your individual circumstances. If you have specific worries or a particular exposure you'd like to discuss, this is the time to raise them. Your GP will also talk you through how each test is carried out, so you know exactly what to expect before any samples are taken.
The package includes testing for:
HIV 1 & 2 and p24 antigen — a blood test that screens for HIV infection, including recent infections that may not yet show up on older-style tests
Syphilis IgM and IgG — a blood test that checks for both current and past syphilis infection
Chlamydia — one of the most commonly diagnosed STIs, often with no obvious symptoms
Gonorrhoea — screened alongside chlamydia, as the two infections are frequently tested together
Chlamydia and gonorrhoea are usually tested using a urine sample. For women, vaginal swabs are also available if preferred — simply let your GP know your preference during the consultation. The HIV and syphilis tests require a small blood sample, which will be taken by our doctor or phlebotomist as part of your appointment.
All samples are sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis, and your results are treated with the strictest confidentiality throughout.

You don't need to have symptoms to book a screening. Many STIs, including chlamydia and gonorrhoea, often present with no symptoms at all, which is why regular testing is one of the most effective ways to look after your health and that of any current or future partners.
Receiving Your Results
Results are usually available within 2 working days. We will contact you directly to explain your results in plain terms and advise you about any next steps, so you're never left trying to interpret a report on your own.
If your results are clear, you'll receive confirmation along with any relevant advice on future testing or prevention. If any of your results require further discussion, treatment, or follow-up, your GP will talk you through the options sensitively and clearly, and help you decide on the best next steps for your circumstances. We can also advise on partner notification where relevant, and support you through any further care you may need.

Additional Testing and Follow-Up
If you have particular concerns or would like additional STI testing beyond what's included in the package, we can discuss which tests would be most appropriate for you and arrange these if required. Additional tests will be charged separately.
Any further consultation or treatment required following your results will also be charged separately, and we'll always talk you through the options and costs before proceeding.
